Where Are They Now: Sydney and Garrett Kadlrik
It’s time for another Where Are They Now? and this one feels extra full-circle!
Sydney and Garrett toured The Barn before it was even finished being built and knew it was where they wanted to get married. Almost four years later, their family has grown, they’ve welcomed their first baby girl, and they’ll be back at The Barn this September for Garrett’s brother’s wedding!
We caught up with them to hear what they remember most about their wedding day and what life looks like now.
Looking Back
What stands out most when you think back to your wedding day?
Every single detail! We got to get married surrounded by all of our family and friends in such a beautiful place. The whole day is something we’ll never forget.
Do you have a favorite memory or moment from the day?
For both of us, it’s walking down the aisle. Garrett says his favorite was watching Syd walk down the aisle, and for Syd, it was the music playing, the doors opening and seeing Garrett for the first time at the altar. It was such a special moment that we’ll always cherish.
If you could relive one part of your wedding, what would it be?
Do we have to choose?! LOL. We always talk about how special it was having everyone we love together in one place. Being able to experience that again would be pretty amazing.
Also... the dancing. 😂
What advice would you give couples currently planning their wedding?
It’s such a beautiful season of life, and it goes SO fast. We planned ours in four months, so maybe especially fast for us! At the end of the day, all that matters is marrying your person.
Don’t stress too much. Everything falls into place, and if you’re married at the end of your wedding day, we’d call that a success.
Garrett’s advice? Hire a good DJ. LOL.
Where Are They Now?
Tell us about your family! What has changed since your wedding day?
When we got married, Garrett automatically got to share Syd’s golden retriever, Wrigley. And this summer, we welcomed our first baby girl! We feel so blessed and are loving this new chapter as a family.
What has been your favorite part of this season of life?
Being able to look back at almost four years of marriage and be in awe of everything that has happened since our wedding day. Welcoming our baby girl was something we had prayed for for a long time, which has made this season even more special.
How do you enjoy spending time together as a family?
We love to travel whenever we get the chance! We also work together, so sometimes it can be challenging to find time together outside of work, but we always try to make it a priority.
And we hear you’ll be back at The Barn very soon?!
Yes! Garrett’s brother is getting married at The Barn this September, so we get to come back and experience it all over again this time as guests and with our baby girl!
It feels pretty special to have another wedding in the family at the same place where we got married.

This one is both of our favorites! We’re still obsessed with our entire wedding day and The Barn for making it such a special one.
What’s your favorite recent family photo?
Sydney and Garrett, getting to be a small part of your story has meant more to us than you know. From walking through The Barn before it was even finished, to watching you say “I do” here, and now seeing you come back as a family of three for another wedding in your family, it’s such a special full-circle moment.
One of the best parts of what we do is getting to watch life continue long after the wedding day is over. Seeing your family grow and knowing The Barn gets to hold another chapter of your family’s memories is something we’ll never take for granted. We can’t wait to see you this September. 🤍
